This paper presents how to test DC High Speed Circuit Breakers (DC-HSCBs) and protective relays with STEVO Electric's or Megger's BALTO.  It also describes the typical behaviour of DC-HSCBs. Although the paper was presented years ago, the content is still relevant for companies in charge of the maintenance and operations of DC-HSCBs.
